A welcoming and safe place

Rob first of all reported on the Child Protection Workshop that he had been at that weekend.

Rob expressed the hope that the church might be a welcoming and safe community, with some similarities with the Safe House idea.

From the Old Testament reading he commented on Nathan's parable to David.
Nathan confronted the sin, but that confrontation was then followed by mercy, by love. So, the truth first, then love.
And in the epistle we are encouraged to be a welcoming and inclusive church with many varieties of people.
