About St Philip's

The Building

At St Philip's, we glorify God and make disciples by creating a community where we live the love of Christ.

"Come and see" said Jesus' friend Philip when Nathaniel asked him about Jesus. It was Philip who introduced the boy with the loaves and fish to Jesus. Later Philip welcomed some Greek visitors who were looking for Jesus. Philip also asked Jesus about the way to the Father. We invite you to "come and see" what the good news of Jesus Christ is all about here at St Philip's!

Our services are in the Anglican tradition. The services are friendly and relaxed, while valuing our liturgical and musical heritage. Click here for information about service times.

St Philip's is in inner north Canberra near the Australian National University and the City. (Address and map here.) The church has grown with the O'Connor area since the beginning of the suburb and has been a spiritual home for many.

You may call the Rector on mobile: 0478 619 911.

As we follow Christ we value:

Inclusion — We respect the individual and embrace and honour diversity.

Relevance — We promote Christ as central for our community, our world, and ourselves.

Caring — We share Christ's love through welcome, hospitality, service, and stewardship.

Relationships — We build nurturing connections with God, each other, and the wider community.

Worship — We provide a space for people to celebrate and grow in the healing love and grace of Christ.
