Dr. Baden Williams, 11 February 1936 – 27 May 2021

Baden

Dr. Baden Williams was a scientist who specialized in soil and water chemistry. He had many years of interaction with land care groups in Australia, especially concerning soil and groundwater salinity. This gave him a strong sense of the importance of all aspects of the environment in life, not just humanity. He found no insurmountable conflict between science and his Christian faith, although he was often bemused by the uncompromising attitudes of those who confuse ancient religious records with the reality of God and his kingdom on earth.

Baden was the husband of Ann, brother of Ruth and Barbara, father to Marie-Louise, George, and Nicole, and grandfather to Alethea, Lincoln, Patrick, Zoe, Liam, Murray and Philip.

With Ann, Baden was part of the team that looks after our Pandora's@O'Connor used-clothing shop and took part in our mid-week congregation.

Besides scientific publications, Baden wrote The 13th Disciple. (XLibris, 2016. ISBN : 9781524518929).

The funeral service for Baden was held in the Chapel of Norwood Park Crematorium on 9 June 2021.
