The Sundays after Pentecost begin with Trinity Sunday and continue until the church year ends in late November with the Feast of Christ the King.
The season after Pentecost is the longest season of the church year, just as most of our lives are spent in the times between the big dramatic events.
It's a time of opportunity and growth in essential day-by-day, week-by-week activities of personal faith and community life: prayer, worship, learning, teaching, service, caring and outreach, for example.
It's a time for hospitality, sharing and fellowship, getting to know each other well.
It's a time to listen and act, as God and the Scriptures challenge each of us personally and all of us together as a fellowship.
It's is a time to sow good seed and to harvest.
Like every other time, it's a time of welcome, a time of invitation to "Come and see!"
