Events and Community Celebrations

These are some events and celebrations at St Philip's in recent years. For most of them, you can follow the link for more details!

• Our most recent St Philip's Autumn Market was held on Saturday 14 March 2020.
  The Spring Fling is also held each year, usually in September.
• Our annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on 15 December 2019, remembered the musical contribution of Pat Forbes to the life of the Parish.
• Peter Andersson's Funeral 16 October 2019
  Peter's long life was celebrated by a large congregation, including many bridge players.
• Patricia Forbes's Funeral 18 September 2019
  Our beloved Pat Forbes was farewelled by her many friends, students, colleagues and admirers in an overflowing Church - with much lusty singing!
• Revd Linda Anchell's Funeral 27 August 2019
  Our beloved deacon, the Revd Linda Anchell was farewelled from an overflowing church.
• Fay Pankhurst's Memorial Service, 24 January 2017.
• Revd Martin Johnson became the 11th Rector of St Philip's at a special service on 8 December 2016.
• Andrea's Farewell, 4 September 2016.
  The Revd Andrea de Vaal Horciu preached a farewell address to our 10am congregation on 4 September 2016. Afterwards we celebrated her wonderful ministry over morning tea.
