Isaiah 29:17
Shall not Lebanon in a very little while become a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field be regarded as a forest?

What should we say, "there is nothing new under the sun"? Burma was the rice bowl of asia when I was in school. (in the 1960's) Uganda similarly regarded, and Zimbabwe. May they quickly regain their ecological health, as well as economic and social stability and well being! The writers of the bible were well aware of the changes which happened to nations, not just to rulers and kings.
