Robert Mapplethorpe. Self portrait. 1980. |
||
For our final series of flower pictures, we turn to photographic art. American Robert Mapplethorpe (1946–1989) is known for his provocative and often erotic photography, which appears in art museums worldwide. From 1973 and until his death, he also made many photographs of flowers, in carefully constructed compositions. The music is from "Enticement of the Silence (Stilhedens Forjættelse)," a concert given by the Mogens Dahl Chamber at the Holmens Kirke, Copenhagen. |
